Growing Instructions
Create a germination medium by mixing equal parts fine dirt and sand to support healthy seed development. Surface sow the seeds or cover them lightly with a thin 3 mm layer of the prepared medium, as the seeds need light to initiate growth. Keep the temperature between 10-15°C (50-59°F) to optimize germination and avoid temperatures above 20°C (68°F), which can be harmful. Maintain a moderately moist environment by watering gently; the soil should be slightly damp, but never soggy, to prevent root rot.

Growing
Place the seedlings in partial sun, avoiding hot, direct sunlight to prevent premature dormancy. In USDA zones 8 and above, keep pots outdoors in a cool, shaded area. In colder zones, bring the pots indoors and place them in a cool location. After a few growing seasons, once the seedlings are well-established, transplant them outdoors to their permanent location.
